advait bhat

🙋I am a second-year CS PhD student at the Allen School at UW, advised by Prof. Tim Althoff in the BData group.

My research lies at the intersection of HCI, NLP, psychology, and computational social science. I study psychological safety in human-AI interaction and build user modeling methods from large-scale behavioral data. More broadly, I am interested in how AI systems shape beliefs, communication and relationships. Before UW, I was a pre-doctoral research fellow at Microsoft Research India and a visiting researcher at Cornell Tech, and I did my design education at IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay.
